REDUCE PROPERTY TAXES

Ron will change the local earned income tax to a personal income tax that includes investment earnings, and use the added revenue to cut residential property taxes dollar for dollar—while ensuring that pensions and Social Security remain untaxed.

CYBER CHARTER SCHOOLS

Ron will stop excessive taxpayer support of cyber charter schools, which drives up school property taxes, and ensure that public schools are funded adequately and fairly.

PENN STATE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Ron will reform the Penn State Board of Trustees so it fairly represents students, parents, faculty, taxpayers, and the communities the university serves.

DATA CENTERS

Ron will support legislation requiring data centers to pay for the electricity they use, rather than passing the cost onto homeowners and businesses.

INDEPENDENT VOTERS

Ron will allow independent voters to participate in primary elections, ensuring all voters can fully engage in our electoral process.

VOTER ID

Ron will support voter ID to increase confidence in the integrity of our elections.

Ron Ruman has a long history of fighting for fiscal responsibility and protecting taxpayers. His accomplishments include:

  • Supporting four consecutive budgets with no tax increases, ensuring responsible government spending without burdening residents.

  • Sponsoring the creation of a tax stabilization fund, using year-end budget surpluses to protect taxpayers from future tax hikes.

  • Introducing an impact fee on the York Fairgrounds, preventing taxpayers from shouldering the extraordinary costs created by large events.

  • Refusing and pushing to end taxpayer-funded health insurance for part-time township supervisors, standing firmly against unnecessary government benefits.

  • Leading updates to the West Manchester Township zoning ordinance, spurring business development, creating jobs, and preserving open space.

  • Sponsoring a proposal to provide financial support to area senior centers, helping deliver essential services to thousands of York County residents.
